Some Information For Project Funding Europe

By Joshua Barnes

At this moment in time you may be looking for funding for your project. You are very excited about it and have just finished the proposal and feasibility study attached to it, and all you need is project funding Europe. If you are thinking of getting some funding for your research form a European funding agency then do read on.

Look out for Call for Proposals for funding on the internet, usually on the fund agencies sites. Usually these are general calls for proposals covering multi disciplinary fields while some calls for very specific projects for funding. See where yours will fit in and submit accordingly by the guidelines once you have polished it up. Project proposal calls for funds usually occur in the first six months of every year.

It may be a good idea for your proposal to be looked over by a grant application expert before you submit. Many experts for grant proposal writing exist out there and they may charge a modest fee to help spruce up your application. Some do not charge fees however, but expect to be made part of the project team once it is approved.

One factor in getting funds from Europe is that you must have a European based partner. This partner can be non governmental or governmental in nature, as long as you do have a European entity as part of the entire project execution. Thus it may be a good idea to get some Memoranda of Agreements and Letters of Intent ready for these European bodies just in case.

Once you have all the necessary modifications and polishing done on it, submit your proposal and hope for the best. Usually these proposal will take up to fourteen weeks to be scrutinized and looked over for viability. In the meantime while you wait you may also work on other things as well.

During the processing of your application, many experts in their fields will look over your project proposal and they will of course generate certain questions and clarifications for you to discuss with the. However, these questions will not be mailed to you, but instead they will set up an interview panel with you to give you a chance to give your pitch. If you are scheduled for such, then you know that you have a good chance of getting it approved.

Funding panel interviews will usually have three to five experts present who will query you or your team on the proposal that you have submitted. They can ask some very interesting questions but you can prepare for these beforehand. Main points on the proposal will focus on viability, monitoring and evaluation, and an impact analysis study provision at the end of the project cycle. If you are able to focus on these or at least strengthen these components then you have a good chance of passing.

Grants will be awarded usually within a month if you passed the panel interviews. But they do not just hand the money to you outright. They will of course require additional documents from you like project planning worksheets and man hour computations as well as the terms of reference for each member of the project team and also for any future members that you may want on board.
